Neopolitan Coffee Sugar Recipe? 4 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0  
Each morning I dive into throngs of people having their coffe at the bar. I have a capucino "con zuccero". In Naples some bars, not all, serve a creamy sugar that is made daily and served on the side of the cup (inside) so you taste a bit of it with each sip. I've searched but have not found any recipes or "parola" on this tasty sugar. It looks simple - does anyone have a recipe???

Hi Leslie,

Napoli is THE place where to taste coffee and they taste it in many different ways. Nearly every bar has its own "magic" recipe and its difficult to re-create it at home. I tried and I failed!

Unless we put a spy at the Caffe' Gambrinus, we are not going to get the secret!
